Dr. Asad Sadiq -
Psychiatrist in Dubai
Consultant – Psychiatrist in Dubai
“I fully believe that a healthy mind is the source of so much happiness, and I have a bursting desire to help people nurture themselves to long lasting contentment.”
About Me
I am originally from the UK and was working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Dubai, Jumeirah since early 2016 before starting at The Psychiatry and Therapy Centre. Prior to this I was a Lead Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director in the NHS in the UK. I have always been fascinated by people, psychiatry and psychology – and I have an innate curiosity about what makes people who they are, what drives them, what motivates them, and what perhaps hinders their ability to reach their potential.
After completing my secondary school education at the prestigious Manchester Grammar School, I graduated in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. In 2002 I was elected as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), shortly followed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2004. I completed my specialist training in 2008 and was appointed as a Consultant in Greater Manchester.
In 2011, I completed my formal qualification to practise as an executive coach and developed my expertise as a soft skills trainer. I work with clients on developing soft skills including body language, listening, building rapport, making friends, communication skills, assertiveness, leadership, and decision-making, which helps them thrive at work and in life generally.
I actively partake in public education, public speaking, voluntary work and motivational speaking, and I am a regular contributor for the media.
