Arpita Anand

Counselling Psychologist

About Me

I am a licensed Psychologist with over two decades of clinical experience. While having grown up in India and completed my initial training in psychology in India, I trained in the UK and the US for further specialisations. I have been living in the UAE since 2018.

I hold a fundamental belief that as individuals we have the inherent capacity to navigate through our life experiences. There are times though, when challenges may interfere with our capacity to cope effectively. This is where therapy plays an integral role. To seek help is a powerful early step in overcoming our difficulties. It requires us to acknowledge and accept that there is an issue and find ways to enhance our ability to cope.

My Goal

My goal is to help clients feel empowered through the therapeutic process. The relationship between a client and the therapist is key to the success of therapy. My approach is focused on building a trusting relationship, creating a safe space to effectively assess the needs of my clients and helping them learn specific skills to manage their issues.

Specialist in

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and integrate skills from other therapeutic frameworks such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to suit the needs of my clients.
