I am a British citizen and I have lived in Dubai for over 9 years. I am formerly Medical Director of a private practice in Jumeirah.

I am licensed as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Dubai and the UK.

I passionately believe that in order to ameliorate the symptoms of mental disorder one needs to combine the principles of art and science, adopting a global and holistic approach to understanding the individual and their psychopathology.

Psychiatry is a truly fascinating, constantly evolving and dynamic field of medical science. Significant energy has been invested into research in order to understand the inner dimensions of the human mind, only to highlight further the inherent complexities of human behaviour and psychological functioning.

I believe that the role of a Consultant Psychiatrist in Dubai is unique and highly privileged. A strong ethos of altruism and professionalism are at the core of my practice.

I have gained over sixteen years of experience in the field of mental health. I worked in the UK National Health Service for over eight years before gaining a full time substantive post as a Consultant Psychiatrist in a Specialist Inpatient Service in the private sector.

I was elected a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK in 2005 and was entered onto the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council, United Kingdom in 2009. In addition to my clinical work, I have acted as a court witness in the British Crown, Civil and Family Courts and have been an examiner of undergraduate medical students at the Manchester University (UK).

I am approved by the Secretary of State under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act (England & Wales).

I have a broad range of expertise in general psychiatry with a special interest in ADHD, mood disorders, psychotic illnesses, personality disorders, and eating disorders. I provide treatment to both adults and adolescents with a range of disorders.

I have undertaken media work with Dubai One, Dubai Eye and regional magazines. I am frequently quoted in national newspapers in the UAE.
